Crispy crackers in EVOO

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette bread.
  • 50 ml La Española Extra Virgin Olive Oil 
  • 1 tsp of coarse sea salt.
  • Aromatic herbs, spices, smoked paprika…(to your taste)
  • Utensils
  • Pastry brush.
  • Oven tray.
  • Parchment paper for baking.

Directions

  1. Slice the baguette bread in thin slices.
  2. Set one parchment paper sheet on an oven tray. Put the bread slices on it.
  3. Fill a small bowl with the olive oil. Cover each slice of bread with olive oil using a pastry brush.
  4. Sprinkle some sea salt, minced herbs, spices or paprika on top of each slice of bread.
  5. Pre heat the oven at 180ºC.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until the bread gets a nice golden color.
  7. Cool down and they are ready to eat.

Note: you can store them in a closed box, away from light and humidity. They would last 10 to 15 days, until they start to get rancid.
